How do I get over severe anxiety over school?

Ever since school started I have severe anxiety and panic attacks. I feel under a lot of pressure to keep my grades up because if I don’t I get kicked out of college or lose my financial aid. I can’t stop worrying that I won’t do well in my classes and I make myself sick worrying about it. I dread getting back my essays and tests. I am normally a good student but I am afraid I am not smart enough for college. I don’t know what to do. Please help.

  1. Hi , I have the same problem as you, since my college started and I feel more worried and I get panic attacks. but all what I do now is making a hot water in the bathtub and putting candles with nice perfumes and then i sit in it for some hours, I masage my body and take a good breathe. I have tried something which I felt good after it, I hope you feel too. first after you put warm water in the bathtub, close your eyes and nose and go down under the water while laying on your back. and while doing it take the air out from your mouth slowly and let it go like bubbles. and then hold your breathe like 3 seconds.. and then go up and take a breath. do that for several times… but leave a bit time between them like 30 second.. while I finished I felt all the pressure over my chest has gone, and I believed that i can controle my breath which make me feel comfortable. if you have so much water in your bathtub, try to float over it and relax your body.. it will make your muscles feel great and that what we really want to have. before you gget out from the bath.. be sure all the rooms you pass through has low light.. and then drink chomomile after that hot bath. and ly over bed and sleep. rub your feet with some creams and make your fingers go round and round… even your hands. and neck… you can try singing the songs you love. think that you will have good news … you are not alone.. I hope I helped… tell me what do you feel after you do all what i said… I wish you luck!

  3. I think if you study and do your work, you will be fine. Part of this is having confidence in yourself. If you are slacking off, yes you should be worried. It seems you are a good student so keep doing what you are doing and if you need to go to study groups or get more help from school to feel more confident, then by all means, do it. Your anxiety is stemming from your self consciousness.

  4. From the principles of matching twins having matching genes, they've found that both have developed Social agitation Disorder. One more cause could be from infancy experiences interacting with teachers and other kids at school, not agreeing with the mould of cultural expectancies, so leading them to think of themselves as undeserving and not belonging. Ultimately , back to our opening sentence, our scientifically exploding, advanced, nerve-wrangling society we now live in, in my viewpoint, is making a contribution to the rise in Social foreboding Aberrations .
